empowHER United is a student-founded movement with a chapter in every state and a club on every campus. We help young women build officially recognized organizations at their schools, then turn that community into awareness, volunteer service and real charitable impact for women in need.

Who we are
Started with one drive. Built to grow.
empowHER began in 2025 when founder Addison Zakur organized a women's hygiene drive on her college campus. Donation bins, shopping runs, handwritten notes and a delivery to Crossroads Rhode Island turned into a team, then a campus club, then a movement.
Today empowHER United is building a chapter in every state, with student-run clubs on campuses within each one. Every club is recognized by its own school and rooted in its own community, while sharing one name, one mission and one standard for how we show up.

Start a club

No experience required, just passion and purpose. We don't hand you a toolkit and walk away. We work alongside you until your club is up and running.
Apply
